Who's going to Fanfest next week? I think the A's particular Fanfest is one of the best in baseball.

I am going to the fanfeast on Saturday. I am so excited! I normally work on Saturdays but I am having a coworker cover my shift for me. Everyone at work knows I am a die hard A's fan. So there is NO way I am missing it.
I am counting down the days! ;D

I agree. I am a complete A's fan, but I went with some Giants fan friends of mine to their fanfest this past weekend (in hopes to see Barry and wish him well), and it was HORRIBLE!!! Half mile lines for everything! We left after 30 minutes, it was that bad. And that was the Giants fans' idea, not even mine(I was thinkin' it though). I'll stick with A's fanfest from now on. My best memory has to be from last year. Mark Ellis is my favorite player of all time and I got to meet him. He autographed my Mad Hatter hat that I have all the players autograph (if you see me in the left field bleachers say HI!), and he signed my Mark Ellis jersey, and he took a picture with me. Having watched him the last couple years, seeing what type of player he is and what kind of man he is (working so hard to come back from his injury and the way he handles himself in all things baseball, media, fan interaction), it was an honor to meet him face to face. He was such a genuinely nice guy. If you haven't made it out to fanfest yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. If there is a baseball 101 session with Swish in it, GO! You'll laugh at least a dozen times. Also, the question and answer sessions are really insightful and fun.

I hate the fact that I couldn't go to Fanfest this year because I had to help my dad. My two favorite memories at Fanfest were 2001 when Barry Zito arrive late to pitchers panel with Hudson and Mulder (pre-Big Three) at the Q & A, and getting Zito's autograph while waiting in line at blood drive. Also, another great memory at Fanfest was having Mark Kotsay serve my Hot Chocolate and an autograph.
